Hey everyone, hope you are all having a wonderful summer!
Wrapping up the past year, we've been able to accomplish quite a lot in the PA House. Most notably:
H.B. 1278 – The Wiretap Act (Passed into Law - Act 53) An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in wiretapping and electronic surveillance, further providing for definitions and for exceptions to prohibition of interception and disclosure of communications, providing for public access and for Department of Corrections retention policy and further providing for expiration of chapter.
H.B. 1419 – Consistency in Domestic & Foreign Filing under Title 15 (Passed into Law - Act 20) House Bill 1419 ensures that in-state and out-of-state businesses have the same transitional annual reporting due date of Jan. 4, 2027. In order for Pennsylvania to succeed, we need to be more welcoming to businesses. For purposes of efficiency and consistency, my bill would change the requirement so all companies doing business in Pennsylvania have the same reporting date.
Our work is far from over, so join us in making sure we continue to have great leadership in Harrisburg!
